NOTD; gradient

Hi,
vandaag weer een snelle Nails Of The Day. Ik heb dit al eerder uitgebreid naar voren laten komen in dit artikel, maar omdat deze foto iets duidelijker is wil ik het toch nog even snel met jullie delen. Op de foto zie je dat er een raar soort structuur op mijn nagel zit, een beetje bobbelig. Dit komt doordat er delen van mijn sponsje waarmee ik de nagellak aanbracht op mijn nagels bleven zitten. In het echt viel dit niet heel erg op, op de foto helaas wel.

On the picture you can see that there is a weird kind of structure on my nails, a bit uneven. This is because parts of my make-up sponge I used sticked on my nails. In real life you couldn't really see this, on the picture you unfortunately can.

Roses nail art

vandaag heb ik een nail art voor jullie met roosjes. Ik heb deze nail art al vaker gedaan met verschillende kleuren; een zwarte achtergrond met rood/witte roosjes, een groene achtergrond met koraal/witte roosjes en nog een paar andere variaties. Voor de lente vond ik deze kleuren het leukste, omdat ze zo vrolijk en fris zijn. De nail art zelf is niet moeilijk te maken. Zoals altijd begin je met een base coat, waarna je twee laagjes van de lichte groen aan brengt. Ik heb hiervoor nummer 240 Sold Out For Ever van Catrice gebruikt. Vervolgens het ik met mijn dotting tool steeds vier stipjes nagellak aangebracht; twee koraal kleurige tegenover elkaar en twee witte tegenover elkaar. Uiteindelijk was het dus een soort vierkant van stipjes. Voor deze stipjes heb ik de kleuren 030 Meet Me At Coral Island en 01 Ahoy! uit de 50's girls reloaded LE van Essence. Daarna ben ik met een saté prikker rondjes gaan draaien door deze stipjes nagellak, waardoor de roosjes ontstonden. Ook heb ik in het midden nog een wit puntje gemaakt, als 'hart' van de roos.Om het af te maken heb ik met een donkere groen de blaadjes van de roosjes gemaakt. Hiervoor gebruikte ik nummer 340 Run Forest Run van Catrice. Op het eind nog een top coat erover heen en je bent klaar!

today I have a nail art for you guys with roses. I have made this nail art before with different colour combinations; a black background with red/white roses, a green background with coral/white roses and a couple of different variations. For spring, I liked theses colours the best because they are happy and bright. The nail art itself isn't difficult to make. As always, you start with a base coat, and two layers of the base colour. The colour I used is 240 Sold Out For Ever from Catrice. Next I used my dotting tool to make four dots of nail polish; two coral ones opposite of each other and two white ones opposite of each other. In the end I got a square of four nail polish dots. To make these dots I used the colours 030 Meet Me At Coral Island and 01 Ahoy! from the 50's girls reloaded LE from Essence. I used a thin wooden stick to swirl through the colours and in this way make the roses. I also made a white dot in the middle as the 'heart' of the rose. To finish it of I used the colour 340 Run Forest Run from Catrice to make the leaves. At the end I applied a top coat and the design was finished!

vandaag nog even een snelle Nail Of The Day. Deze keer een simpele nail art met hartjes. Ik heb de kleuren 240 Sold Out For Ever en 340 Run Forest Run van Catrice. Ik ben over beide lakjes erg te spreken, ze geven een mooie kleur en dekken prima. Ik heb eerst mijn nagels in licht groen gelakt, en heb vervolgens met behulp van mijn dotting tool de hartjes gemaakt met de andere kleur.

today another Nails Of The Day. This time it is a simple nail art with hearts. I used the colours 240 Sold Out For Ever and 340 Run Forest Run from Catrice. I like both nail polishes, they have pretty colours and a good coverage. I first applied the lightest colour on my entire nail, and then made the hearts using the darker colour and my dotting tool. 

Kiwi nail art

vandaag heb ik weer een nieuwe nail art voor jullie. De kans is groot dat je het al eerder voorbij hebt zien komen in mijn nail art inspiratie artikel 2. Ik vond het er erg leuk uitzien, dus besloot ik het na te maken. Helaas ben ik niet helemaal tevreden met het resultaat, ik vind het eigenlijk niet echt op kiwi's lijken. Ik heb alleen geen idee waarom dit is, dus als jullie misschien weten hoe dit komt, zeg het dan alsjeblieft! Ik begon zoals gewoonlijk weer met een base coat, daarna twee laagjes van Catrice nummer 240 Sold Out For Ever. Vervolgens heb ik met de witte Essence striper het midden gemaakt en met een dotting tool en de Gosh nummer 'Nero' de zwarte stipjes gemaakt. Hiertussen door heb ik weer met de striper de streepjes gezet. Een top coat eroverheen en klaar!

today I have another nail art for you guys. There is a big chance you already saw this nail art in my nail art inspiration 2 article. I liked the way it looked there, so I decided to make it to. Unfortunately I am not really happy with the result, because I don't think they look like kiwi's. I have no idea why not, so if you have any tips how I can improve it say it in the comments! I started as usual with a base coat and then I applied two layers of Catrice number 240 Sold Out For Ever. Next I made with the white Essence striper the middle part, and with a dotting tool and the Gosh 'Nero' the black dots. In between I made the white stripes with the white striper. Top coat on top, and you're ready to go!

NOTD; pink with a twist

Hi,
vandaag een NOTD voor jullie, oftewel een Nails Of The Day. Dit houdt in dat ik even snel een foto van mijn nagels laat zien, zonder dat er een hele special nail art op zit. Gewoon om het even te laten zien en een lakje te kunnen reviewen. Mijn nagels zijn vandaag gewoon simpel roze met een wit accent op mijn ringvinger. Dit is een sticker, dus ik heb dit niet zelf met nagellak gemaakt. De roze kleur is 850 Aretha's RESPINK van Catrice. Het lakje dekt prima, op de foto heb ik twee laagjes op. Het is een echt zomerse bubblegum pink.

today I have a NOTD for you guys, which is a Nails Of The Day. This means I will just really quickly show you a picture of my nails, without any special nail art. Just to show it and to quickly review the nail polish. Today my nails are a simple pink with a white accent on my ring finger. This is a sticker, so I didn't make this myself! The pink colour is 850 Aretha's RESPINK from Catrice. The nail polish has a good coverage, as I am wearing two layers on this picture. It is a real bubblegum pink.

Nagellak rek

vandaag wil ik jullie niet een nail art laten zien, maar wel iets gerelateerd aan nagellak. Ik heb namelijk samen met mijn vader een nagellak rek gemaakt! Mijn kistje waar ik de nagellak eerst in bewaarde was toch echt vol, dus zocht ik op internet naar nagellak rekken. Helaas waren de prijzen hiervan vrij hoog en toen mijn vader zei dat we het ook wel zelf konden maken was de keuze snel gemaakt! We gingen naar de Gamma en hebben daar twee lange latten gehaald. Één hebben we gebruikt voor het 'frame', de ander voor de plankjes. Na enig zaag- en boor werk zat het in elkaar en heb ik het geverfd in een kleur die al in mijn kamer terugkwam. Op één plank passen ongeveer dertien potjes en er zijn acht plankjes. In totaal dus goed voor ongeveer 108 potjes! Nu heb ik er nog lang niet zoveel, dus tot die tijd zijn niet alle plankjes gevuld en staan de potjes een beetje uit elkaar. Ik heb de potjes gesorteerd op kleur en op merk. Hieronder de foto's van het resultaat:

today I won't show you guys a new nail art design, but I will show you something that has to do with nail polish. Together with my dad I made a nail polish rack! The box where I kept my nail polish became too small for all the bottles, so I searched on the internet for nail polish racks. Unfortunately, the prices of them were sky high, and when my dad said we could make one ourselves it was easy to choose! We went to the Gamma and bought two long slats. We used one for the frame, and one for the shelves. After some sawing we put it together. I painted in a colour that is already used in my room. Approximately thirteen different nail polishes fit on one shelf, and there are eight shelves. All together more than 100 different nail polishes fit into it! I don't have that much yet, so now not all the shelves are full and there is a little space between the nail polishes. I sorted the nail polishes on colour and brand. See the pictures of the result below:

Gradient nail art

vandaag één van mijn favoriete nail arts tot nu toe; gradient! Ik zal eerst een korte uitleg geven over hoe je zo'n gradient resultaat kan krijgen, en daarna zal ik een aantal foto's laten zien.
Gradient nail art. Het is niet moeilijk te maken, maar je krijgt een fantastisch resultaat! De benodigdheden zijn simpel; een base coat, bij voorkeur drie nagellakjes die dezelfde kleur zijn maar dan in verschillende tinten, een make-up sponsje en tot slot een top coat. Lak eerst je nagels met de base coat, laat goed drogen en breng daarna de eerste kleur aan op je hele nagel. Begin met de lichtste kleur, dan dekken de volgende kleuren beter. Laat ook dit weer drogen en drup dan wat nagellak op een papiertje. Ga hierin met het make-up sponsje, en dep de nagellak tot iets verder dan de helft van je nagel. Zorg dat je een mooie overloop van de twee kleuren hebt, dep zo nodig ook nog de eerste kleur met het het make-up sponsje op de rand om te zorgen dat het een vloeiende overloop wordt. Vervolgens kun je nog een laagje van de tweede kleur aanbrengen mocht dat nodig zijn, anders kun je doorgaan met de meest donkere kleur. Dep deze kleur op ongeveer 1/4 van je nagel en zorg er ook hier weer voor dat je een mooie overgang creëert. Als laatste kun je eventueel nog glitter op de bovenste kleur deppen, maar dit hoeft natuurlijk niet. Sluit af met een top coat en je gradient nagels zijn klaar!
Zelf heb ik nu twee keer deze nail art gedaan; één keer met twee koraal tinten en één keer met drie verschillende tinten blauw. Zelf ben ik met de blauwe het meeste tevreden, ik vond dat dit er heel gaaf uitzag. Wat vinden jullie ervan? Laat het weten bij de comments!

today one of my favorite nail art until now; gradient nails! I will first give a short explanation about how to create it, and then show you guys some pictures of my gradient nails.
Gradient nail art. It is fairly easy to make, but gives a fantastic result! The equipment is easy: a base coat, preferably three different shades of the same colour nail polish, a make-up sponge, and finally a top coat. First apply the base coat on your nails, let it dry and then apply the first colour to your entire nail. Start with the lightest colour, then the other colours will cover better. Let this dry to and then drip some nail polish on a paper. Dip in it with the make-up sponge and pad the nail polish on your nail. Cover a bit more than half your nail. Make sure you create a nice overflow from the two colours. If needed you can even apply the first colour with the make-up sponge on the 'border' of the two colours to make sure it looks good. Next you can apply another layer of the second colour if needed, but otherwise you can just continue with the third colour. Pad this colour on approximately 1/4 of your nail, and make sure you make a smooth overflow again. To finish it of, you can apply some glitter on the top colour, but of course you don't have to. End with a top coat and your gradient nails are done!
I did this nail art two times myself right now. One time with two shades of coral and one time with three different shades of blue. I like the blue one the most myself, it looked really cool.

Variation nail art

vandaag heb ik twee wat oudere nail arts voor jullie. Ze lijken vrij veel op elkaar, daarom maak ik één post met beide nail arts erin. Het is echt even bedoelt als een snelle post voor tussendoor, vandaag komen er namelijk nog meer posts online. De roze nail art is echt al een tijd geleden, je kunt ook zien dat mijn nagels korter zijn dan nu. Bij deze nail art heb ik de kleur 480 Miss Piggy Reloaded van Catrice gebruikt als basis, en daar met een witte Essence striper figuren op gemaakt. Voor de tweede nail art heb ik de kleur 030 Meet Me At Coral Island als basis gebruikt, en heb ik er met de kleur 360 Raspberry Fields Forever figuren of gemaakt. Beide kleuren zijn van Catrice.
Ik weet nog niet helemaal of ik dit nou wel of niet leuk vind; op elke nagel iets verschillends. Toch vind ik het er wel vrolijk uitzien en is het makkelijk te maken. (Sorry voor de kwaliteit van de tweede foto, het is niet helemaal zoals ik gehoopt had.)

today I have two nail arts for you guys which I made a while ago. They are quite alike, so I'll put them in one post instead of two. It is really meant as a quick post, today I will post more nail arts. I made the pink nail art a very long time ago, which also shows in the length of my nails. For this nail art I used the colour 480 Miss Piggy Reloaded from Catrice as a base, and made with my white Essence striper figures on it. For the second nail art I used the colour 030 Meet Me At Coral Island as a base, and the colour 360 Raspberry Fields Forever on top. Both colours are again from Catrice.
I am not sure yet whether I like this or not; something different on every nail. I do think it looks fun and it is easy to make. (Sorry for the quality of the second picture, it didn't turn out as I hoped. )

Water marble nail art

Hi,
Vandaag heb ik weer een nail art voor jullie. Nou vind ik niet dat je dit een echt nail art kan noemen, want je hoeft helemaal niets op je nagels te tekenen of maken zoals normaal bij een nail art. Als jullie na het lezen van de titel nog steeds niet weten waar ik het over heb; ik heb het nu natuurlijk over water marble nail art!
Water marble is een special techniek waarbij je eerst een bakje of beker vult met water op kamertemperatuur. Ik zou een kartonnen of plastic bakje/bekertje aanraden om te gebruiken, want het wordt waarschijnlijk een grote kliederboel, dus dan is het handig als je het gewoon kan weggooien en niet helemaal schoon hoeft te maken. Het is belangrijk dat het water op kamertemperatuur is, anders zal deze techniek niet werken. Kies drie of vier verschillende kleuren nagellak die je wilt gaan gebruiken en draai de doppen alvast los zodat je straks snel kunt werken. Beplak je vinger rondom je nagel met plakband, zodat er straks niet een enorme lading nagellak op je vinger zit. Druppel voorzichtig om de beurt één druppel van elke kleur in het water. Als het goed is verspreid de nagellak zich en wordt het lichter. Als je ongeveer twee druppels van elke kleur hebt gehad pak je een tandenstoker en trek je voorzichtig lijnen in de nagellak. Ga óf van buiten naar binnen, óf van binnen naar buiten. Als je tevreden bent met het patroon dat nu gevormd is, ga dan met je vinger in het water. Houd je vinger onder water en pak een nieuwe tandenstoker. Steek deze in het water en maak ronddraaiende bewegingen. Als het goed is blijft de overgebleven nagellak aan de tandenstoker zitten en kun je die nu gewoon uit het water halen. Haal nu ook je vinger uit het water en verwijder het plakband aan de randen. Gebruik eventueel wat nagellak remover met een wattenstaafje om de nagellak aan de zijkant van je vinger weg te halen.
Het is belangrijk om alle stappen snel uit te voeren zodat de nagellak niet opdroogt. Doe dit bij al je nagels een je krijgt een super leuke nail art! Helaas kost het wel veel tijd en is het een heel gedoe. Ik heb over alle tien mijn vingers in totaal ongeveer anderhalf uur gedaan! Wees niet ontmoedigd als het de eerste keer niet meteen lukt; het heeft wat oefening nodig. Veel plezier en hieronder mijn resultaat:

Today I have another nail art for you guys. Although I don't really think this should be called real nail art because you don't have to paint anything on your nails. If you still don't know what I am talking about after reading the title, I'm talking about water marble nail art!
Water marble is a special technique which works like this; first you take a cup and fill it with water. I recommend using a plastic or cardboard cup, because it will get very messy and then it is easier to just be able to throw it away instead of having to clean it. You have to make sure the water is at room temperature, otherwise this won't work. Choose three or four colors of nail polish you want to use, and unscrew the caps so you will be able to work quickly. Put colorless tape on your finger around your nails to make sure there wont be a whole lot of nail polish on your finger at the end. Carefully drop one drop of every color in the water. If it is done correctly, the nail polish will distribute in the water and become lighter. If you've dropped around two drops of every color in the water, you pick a toothpick. use it to carefully draw lines in the nail polish. Go from the outside to the inside or the other way around. If you are happy with the way your pattern looks then dip your nail into the water. Keep it underwater and pick another toothpick. Put this in the water and make circular motions. Now the remaining nail polish will come onto the toothpick and you can take it out of the water. Now also take your finger out of the water and remove the tape. If necessary take a cotton swab and remove the nail polish at the edges of your nails. 
It is important to take all these steps quickly after each other so your nail polish won't dry. If you apply this technique to all your nails you will get an amazing nail art! Unfortunately it costs some time and it is quite messy. It took me an hour and a half to complete all my ten fingers! Don't become discouraged if it doesn't work the first time you try it; it needs some practice. Have fun and below is my result:

Ik heb voor deze nail art eerst mijn nagels wit gelakt zodat de kleuren beter zouden uitkomen. Hiervoor gebruikte ik de kleur 01 Ahoy! uit de 50's girls reloaded LE van Essence. De verdere kleuren die ik heb gebruikt zijn nr. 400 Blue Cara Ciao, nr. 410 Pool Party At Night, en nr. 580 Blues Brother Vol. II, allemaal van Catrice. Als laatste heb ik een top coat er over heen gedaan, zodat het langer mooi blijft en mooi gaat glanzen.Ik ben erg tevreden met het resultaat, het was de tijd die ik er in heb gestoken zeker waard! Persoonlijk vind ik dat mijn nagels nu wel iets weg hebben van de ruimte of het heelal.

For this nail art I first painted my fingers white so the other colors would stand out more. For this I used the color 01 Ahoy! from the 50's reloaded LE from Essence. The other colors I used are nr. 400 Blue Cara Ciao, nr. 410 Pool Party At Night, en nr. 580 Blues Brother Vol. II, all from Catrice. At the end I applied a top coat to protect the design and to make it shine. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, it is worth all the time I put into it. Personally I think my nails look a bit like the galaxy right now!

Nyan cat nail art

vandaag een super leuke nail art, al zeg ik het zelf! Ik denk dat iedereen het filmpje van nyan cat al wel eens gezien heeft op youtube, het is ook al meer dan 70 000 000 keer bekeken! Toen ik neen beetje op youtube nail art inspiratie zat te zoeken, kwam ik dit leuke filmpje van 'cutepolish' tegen.Ik besloot het na te maken en vol goede moed ging ik aan de slag. Helaas bleek de techniek met het plastic niet te werken bij mij, maar toen heb ik heb gewoon meteen op mijn nagel gemaakt. Zie hier het filmpje van 'cutepolish':

today I have a super cool nail art for you guys! I think almost everyone knows the video of nyan cat, it has more than 70 000 000 views on youtube! When I was looking for some nail art inspiration, I came across this video from 'cutepolish'. I decided to paint it on my nails and started going. Unfortunately, the technique used in the video with the plastic didn't work. I then decided to paint nyan cat itself directly on my nail. Below you can see the video from 'cutepolish':

Best goed gelukt vind ik! Natuurlijk lang niet zo mooi als de nagels in het filmpje, maar toch ben ik best tevreden! Wat vind jij ervan, of heb jij dit ook al eens gedaan? Laat het weten bij de comments!

Spring vibes

Hi,
vandaag heb ik besloten om even niet over nagellak of nailart te posten, maar over het weer. Klinkt mischien afgezaagd, maar dat is het niet! De laatste tijd merk ik namelijk echt dat het mooie weer een glimlach op mijn gezicht brengt. Zeker nu met de lente voor de deur en het voorzichtige zonnetje buiten zijn er vaak momenten dat ik denk 'het leven is zo slecht nog niet!'. Van die simpele dingen zoals zonder jas naar huis fietsen, een ijsje eten, met vriendinnen maar zónder paraplu naar de stad, wakker worden en het zonnetje zien schijnen, de tuin langzaam tot leven zien komen en in de hangmat voor mijn toetsen leren, kunnen mij gewoon ontzettend blij maken. Ja, ik kan gerust zeggen dat ik een zomermens ben! Het liefste zou ik dan ook in de winter een diepe winterslaap houden. Wat ik ook leuk vind aan de lente, is dat alle dikke kleding weer in de kast mag! We kunnen weer onbezorgd hemdjes en shorts aan en hoeven het niet meer koud te hebben op school. Ik heb dan ook een spring/summer inspiratie gemaakt, om het lente gevoel nog wat te versterken. Enjoy!

today I decided to not post about nailpolish or nailart, but about the weather. This maybe sounds boring, but it isn't! The last couple of days I noticed the beautiful weather often brings a smile to my face. Especially with the spring coming up and the sun outside, there are a lot of moments when I think 'hmm, life isn't that bad!'. Those simple things like cycling home without a coat, eating icecream, going to the city with friends but without an umbrella, waking up seeing the sun shine, see the garden come alive, and learning for my tests in the hammock, can make me incredebly happy. Yes, I can say for sure that I'm a summer person! I would love to skip the whole winter, or to have a long, deep hibernation. What I like about the spring is the fashion. We can wear summer dresses, skirts and shorts, and we don't have to be cold at school anymore. I made a spring/summer inspiration, to get the spring feeling even more. Enjoy!

DIY; watermeloen nail art

vandaag wil ik jullie een nail art laten zien die ik al een tijdje geleden heb gemaakt; watermeloenen! Een lekker zomerse nail art, met het zonnetje zo buiten! Ik was er zelf best wel tevreden over, dus hierbij de uitleg met foto's.
Benodigdheden:

• Roze/Paarse nagellak  (Catrice nr. 190 Wrapped Around My Finger)
• Groene nagellak  (Catrice nr. 340 Run Forest Run)
• Licht groene nagellak  (Catrice nr. 240 Sold Out For Ever)
• Witte striper nagellak  (Essence tip painter)
• Zwarte nagellak  (Gosh zero)
• Top coat  (Catrice Quick dry & High Shine topcoat)
• Dotting tool (Catrice)
• Wattenstaafjes
• Nagellakremover
• Nagelriemenolie (Lush Lemony Flutter)

Als eerste haal je de oude nagellak van je vingers af met nagellak remover. Als je dit hebt gedaan kun je je nagels vijlen en insmeren met nagelriemen olie, je kunt ook direct een base coat op je nagels doen. Als de base coat eenmaal droog is, lak je je nagels in een roze/paarse kleur. Ik heb hiervoor een nagellakje van Catrice gebruikt, zoals te zien bij de benodigdheden. Laat ook deze lak drogen en breng eventueel nog een tweede laagje aan voor een betere dekking.
Lak daarna het topje van je nagel in de groene kleur en maak daar met behulp van de dotting tool en de lichtgroene lak streepjes in. Dit is de 'schil' van de watermeloen. Als dit goed droog is, trek je een lijn met de witte striper langs de lijn van de groene nagellak. Laat ook dit weer goed drogen.  Als laatste gebruik je de dotting tool en zwarte nagellak om de 'pitjes' van de watermeloen te tekenen. Dit doe je door gewoon stipjes te zetten, zet ongeveer tussen de 4 en de 7 stipjes per nagel. Als al deze stipjes droog zijn geef je ze een beetje extra demensie door er tegenaan een wit stipje te zetten.
Als je dit allemaal hebt gedaan is je watermeloen nail art klaar, en kun je genieten van je mooie nagels!

Today I want to show you guys a nail art that I made; watermelons! It is a nice nail art for the summer, and I'm quite happy with the result so here is the explenation and pictures.
List of supplies:

• Pink/purple nailpolish  (Catrice nr. 190 Wrapped Around My Finger)
• Green nailpolish  (Catrice nr. 340 Run Forest Run)
• Light green nailpolish  (Catrice nr. 240 Sold Out For Ever)
• White striper  (Essence tip painter)
• Black nailpolish  (Gosh zero)
• Top coat (Catrice Quick dry & High Shine topcoat)
• Dotting tool (Catrice)
• Nailpolishremover
• Nailcuticles oil  (Lush Lemony Flutter)

First you remove your old nail polish with remover. If you have done this you can use some nailcuticles oil, or you can also directly but a base coat on your nails. If the base coat is dry, paint your nails in a pink/purple colour. I have used nail polish from Catrice, as seen on the list of supplies. Make sure this layer is completely dry before you continue with the next step. Apply a second layer of nailpolish for better coverage.
When that's done, paint the tip of your nail in the green color and make there, using the dotting tool and the light green lacquer, stripes on. This is the outside of the watermelon. If this is dry, you pull a line with the white striper along the line of green nailpolish. Let this dry again. The last step is to use the dotting tool and black Nail Polish to place small dots on the purple part of your nail. Use approximately 4 to 7 dots per nail. If all these dots are dry you can give them a little extra dimension by placing the white dot at the edge of the black dot. If you've done all this you watermelon nail art is ready, and you can enjoy your beautiful nails!

vandaag zal ik twee berichten posten, maar ik begin met even snel een berichtje over de taal van mijn blog. Ik heb besloten om vanaf nu mijn hele blog in het Nederlands én Engels te schrijven. Dit doe ik omdat op deze manier ook mensen uit andere landen dan Nederland en Belgie mijn blog kunnen lezen! Ook wil ik even mijn excuses aanbieden voor het weinige posten. Ik heb het vrij druk gehad en dan schoot een bericht voor mijn blog maken er vaak bij in. Vanaf nu ga ik weer proberen om meer te posten! Vandaag komt er dus nog een post; een DIY nailart!

Mijn manicure

Hi,
deze keer wil ik graag aan jullie laten zien hoe ik mijn nagels normaal lak en verzorg, eigenlijk mijn home made manicure dus! Ik lak mijn nagels ongeveer één keer per week, want dan is de nagellak weer afgebrokkeld en heb ik er in het weekend weer tijd voor. Ik gebruik eigenlijk altijd dezelfde spullen:

• Ik begin altijd met het er afhalen van de laatste nagellak. Dit doe ik met nagellak remover en watjes. Ik gebruik altijd nagellak remover zonder aceton, omdat aceton je nagels en nagelriemen erg kan uitdrogen. Momenteel gebruik ik de remover van Herome, maar meestal gebruik ik gewoon die van de Hema; lekker goedkoop!

• Vervolgens smeer ik mijn nagelriemen in met een zalfje of crème. Laatst heb ik bij Lush 'Lemony Flutter' gekocht, dus nu gebruik ik die. Het is een gele, dikke en vettige crème die ruikt naar citroen en makkelijk intrekt. In een potje zit 50 gram, maar hier kan je echt super lang mee doen! Ik doe op elke vinger een klein kloddertje, want je hebt echt niet veel nodig.

• Nadat de crème goed is ingetrokken (dit duurt ongeveer 2 minuten) vijl ik mijn nagels met een papieren vijl in vorm. Je moet altijd naar één kant vijlen, dus niet als een zaag over je nagel schuren, wat ik vroeger altijd deed, haha! Op de eerste foto zie je mijn nagels nadat de Lemony Flutter is ingetrokken, en op de tweede foto heb ik geprobeert een foto te maken terwijl ik mijn nagels aan het vijlen was. Sorry als de tweede foto een beetje wazig is!

• Ik gebruik altijd een base coat onder de gekleurde lak, omdat dit beschermt tegen verkleuring en het zorgt ervoor dat de nagellak langer blijft zitten. Momenteel gebruik ik de nail whitener van W.I.C by Herome als base coat, want mijn nagels zijn een beetje geel. Deze lak zorgt ervoor dat het gelige uit je nagel gehaald wordt, zodat ze weer mooi wit en stralend worden!

•  Nadat de base coat goed is opgedroogd begin ik met het aanbrengen van de gekleurde lak. Vandaag heb ik gekozen voor de kleur nummer 580; Blues Brother Vol. II van Catrice. Dit is een mooie donker blauwe lak met een beetje glimmer er in. De lak dekt niet goed na één laagje, redelijk na twee laagjes en super mooi na drie laagjes. Schrik dus niet als het er na één laagje echt verschrikkelijk uitziet; dit is normaal.

Horror zoals je ziet! Na het tweede laagje zag het er al beter uit:

• Als afsluiter heb ik nog even een top coat eroverheen gedaan; de Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat van Catrice. Hier heb ik was kleine stukjes knoflook in gedaan, zoals uitgelegd in dit artikel op de site van Mascha: www.beautygloss.nl.
